The event is about the General Motors (GM) ignition switch recalls. The entire story or
rather process of recalling started on 6th February the year 2014 when the said company recalled
at least 800, 000 cases of its small cars that were reported to have perished with some
accompanying losses as a result of faulty ignition switches (Shepherd & Vardiman, 2016).
Shockingly, since the company started recalling the cars that had perished due to faulty ignition
switches from the year 2014, the number has been increasing for the subsequent months up to
about 30 million cases of cars that have been recalled across the globe, thus confirming to the
company that the same has been happening without necessary precautionary measures.
Annoyingly, the company (GM) through it engineers have been aware of all the predicaments
that has been happening within the corporation.
