If Fe3+ cation is mixed with SCN- anion the red-colored complex FeNCS- is formed. The absorbance of the
formed solution can be measured and correlated with its concentration following the Beer’s Law and
ultimately being able to calculate the equilibrium constant Keq of the reaction.
