Introduction
Judaism is a faith-based religion characterized by the belief in one God and uses the Jewish
Laws. Jewish communities that ascribe to this religion have distinct cultural, traditional, and
religious practices that form their principles. The division of roles based on gender is one core

refrained from acquiring formal education, engaging in different employment opportunities, and
having leadership positions, which is recently changing where women are now working outside
the confinement of their communities and acquire education in formal academic institutions.
