Organizations Description
Research in Motion (RIM) launch of Blackberry by 1999 laid a basis for smartphone
advancement. In 1984 Michael Lazaridis founded the RIM. The organization was tangled in
designing, building, and vending collaborating radios, pagers that different manufacture can
include in their wireless modems cum products for laptop and computers. After years of
struggle trying to change emailing devices, RIM succeeded and launched their first blackberry
invention in the year 1999 then itemized its share on NASDAQ. Blackberry has and was
always the first on mobile email merchandise with a keyboard.
Internal analysis
RIM has got varied resources, which are both tangible and intangible. The physical
resources include buildings, warehouses, office furniture, production equipment, and
computers. Whereas the intangible ones entail intellectual property, reputation, and band. The
capabilities and core competencies of RIM were that it was the only company that was capable
of designing and making a wireless email solution. The other capabilities and competencies
included designing a wireless email solution, particularly for company environments utilizing
