Richard Feynman, the author of The Character of Physical Law, was a theoretical
physicist who was recognized through his work in quantum mechanics and quantum
electrodynamics. The physicist offered a series of lectures at Cornell University under the
Messenger Lectures in 1964 and it is from them the book was developed. Feynman won the
Nobel Prize in Physics the following year alongside two other physicists for their work in
