Concerning supply chain management, third-party logistics refers to the method of business that
involves an organization use of a tie of business to ensure that they outsource any elements of its
distribution, warehousing to ensure that they fulfil their core mandate. Third-party logistics
providers in most cases the purpose of providing joined operations of transportation and storage,
which are based on the customer need on the current market conditions. The logistics firms may
also extend their services into including value-added services that relate to the production of
procurement goods (Berglund, 2019). The company that is tasked on the creation of integrated
services is, therefore referred to as the third-party supply chain firm. Third-party logistics firm
includes courier companies, freight forwarders and other companies that conduct businesses in
