Reality television is a phenomenon that is spreading rapidly throughout the globe. The
programs are viewed by all age groups, including adults, youth, teens, and even kids. The
programs are particularly appealing to kids as they idolize reality stars and also mimic their
actions as well as speech. Statistics have shown that reality television serves nearly 30 hours of
entertainment to children aged between 8 to 18. Parents are continually watching out for the
welfare and proper upbringing of their children. As a result, they are constantly evaluating how
the programs their children are watching impact the intellectual, moral, and psychological
development of their children. However, reality television shows are detrimental to children as
they tend to imitate what they observe in these programs, which more often than not support the
worst attributes of behavior. Therefore, parents should not allow very young children to watch
reality television shows as they negatively affect the moral upbringing of very young children.
Parents acknowledge that the early stage of child development is a crucial time for brain
