Jones Wilmington University AHS 6610: Administration of Human Services Melissa Smith March 23, 2020 2 CSR INTIATIVE CSR Initiative Recruitment Plan It is important to note that employment opportunities usually present themselves on a daily basis. It is essential for the organization to factor in the recruitment process of the employees. Recruitment is done by the Human resource management team. They are tasked with the responsibility of ensuring successful and effective recruitments. I would therefore like to lead the CRS program in my institution. The CRS program is aimed at improving the life of the people of my community in relation to educational program. ‘we can’ organization is aimed at helping students gain education access. It is important to note that developmental programs had previously been initiated in the community. However, a small number of children ended up gaining access to these services due to the misconception in the community. This program is aimed at creating awareness and imparting knowledge. I am assuming the duty of the managing director of this program. Giving back to the community is an important thing that many institutions need to embrace. The community provides customers, the human resources and the environment in which these institutions operate in. it is imperative to take care of the community. My community is yet to fully understand and embrace the important of education. This hampers growth and development and creates a lot of problems for the community. Thus, the importance of this new program. The first duty of this position is to create awareness. As a manager, I am tasked with the responsibility of ensuring the community and my employees understand the importance of this initiative. This is through the process of creating awareness. Creating awareness inspires curiosity which in turn influences the initiative in the right direction. The second duty of this position is collecting and convincing the stakeholders of the importance of this initiative. While the organization might be on board with implementing this 3 CSR INTIATIVE initiative, gaining finances has always been a problem for most institutions. It is important to note that we cannot seek financial aid from the same people we seek to help. Therefore, going beyond our comfort zone is vital. I plan to seek financial aid from institutions operating at the community level and from the state government. The government is tasked with the responsibility of ensuring growth and development in the community. Therefore, their backing will contribute a lot to the CRS initiative. It is important to note that the assembling of a team is essential for this position. I cannot do this on my own. I need team players. I need people who can easily convince the society on the importance of the initiative. Selecting the right people for the team is key. Identifying people who complement each other while working together at the same time will contribute for the overall success of the community. I will identify ten individuals at the community level who understand the importance of implementing this initiative. Selecting members from the community shows the spirit of inclusiveness and team work. I will also select ten members from the organization. Bringing both teams together destroys the rift between the community and the institution. Furthermore, what better way to convince the community rather than using their own people? Knowledge Skills and Abilities Required From the points stated above, it is clear that the manager should be equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to manage this position. The first skill is transformational leadership. This is because this work basically entails working with a team. Ensuring that there is proper management of this team is key to the successful execution of this position. Secondly, responsibility as a skill is vital for this position. The manager becomes responsible for the employees of the institution and the community. This includes their well-being and their 4 CSR INTIATIVE environment. Having a sense of responsibility, when executing this position is critical for the successful execution of this position. Lastly, the manager should be educationally equipped to handle this position. In this case, education is a skill that needs to be acquired. This will familiarize the manager with the responsibilities of the position. Strategies for advertising and recruiting the right candidate. The company needs to ensure that they advertise the initiative and create awareness in the minds of the community people. The first form of advertisement will be the use of people. Word of mouth is known to be one of the most effective ways to reach people. Tell a person to tell a person. The second form of advertisement will be the local news channel. People of this community are TV lovers. They gather in one room and watch the television as a community. This will therefore be an effective way to reach them. Interview questions • Do you work well in a group? • As a leader, what will be your first strategy to implement change? • Do you think you are an accountable person? • What is your educational achievement? • What is the most important thing to you as a leader? Conclusion The hiring of employees is a rigorous process. However, organizations should ensure that they hire the most qualified employees for the success of their organization. This can be done in different ways. This paper provides the necessary knowledge regarding the hiring of employees. 5 CSR INTIATIVE References Fanelli, C. W., & Mushunje, M. (2007).
