How is the American value of competition reflected in American business practices?
Business connectivity in the United States is influenced by the underlying values that
describe American society. It is essential to understand the key measures that present a welldefined system that can improve the level of performance. Building a successful business
environment means that there is an understanding of the existing core values and culture that
define market trends. The United States is a country developed based on uniqueness in product
development to enhance competitive advantage. Every organization focuses on implementing
divergent strategies to maintain a large market share. Competition is a crucial factor that has
transformed the American business environment. The value of competition presents a
profoundly transformed focus on American business practices positively, considering that
business organizations are implementing strategies that are aimed to promote business ideology
change and innovation.
The American value of competition is derived from critical cultural aspects that help
understand the relationship between individuals within American society. The concept of
competition within the American business environment is mainly derived from the fact that
American society is developed based on individualism. Individualism, in this case, focuses on
the needs of different individuals where an individual focuses on self success rather than
focusing on collectivism (Draper, 18). The sharing of business ideas is rare within the
American business environment because there is less focus on critical changes that can help
promote a successful level of development. Building a strong change approach within the
system is influenced by necessary measures that are integrated within the system to encourage
business and individual reaction.

The rate of individualism in the United States is very high. Many organizations do not
implement a collectivism approach where it is very difficult to ensure collective development
due to the implementation of different strategies to dominate. Success spurs development
within the American culture. The high level of masculinity is a positive aspect since it provides
a clear and compelling focus where individuals within the society are self-driven by success.
The various levels of developments that have been put in the community are aimed at
improving the outcomes. The culture also stresses more on masculinity, where the culture is
driven by a high level of competition, success, and achievement. Success is the ultimate target,
and thus different processes are integrated into a given system to ensure that the product is a
success (Campbell and Jake, 96).
Rules and regulations guide the operational environment among individuals within the
cultural setting, and thus individuals are not encouraged to take risks. Decisions within the
society cannot be made when there is no full information since this means that risks are likely
to be considered within cultural setup. The society has a very high long term orientation.
Individuals within the society are self-driven by the ability to achieve the essential underlying
elements, which define individual focus and engagement within the society (Baginskaya,9).
The long-term prospects form the basis of effective cultural engagement. Indulgence levels
within the country are very low, and thus there is a greater focus on the overall wellbeing of an
individual within the society. Long-term orientation guides the different levels of engagement
within the society, and thus individuals are driven by a higher level of engagement.
Americans are driven by the will to succeed, and thus there is less focus on the overall
development and wellbeing of individuals within the community. They focus on ensuring that
