How NCQA Defines Quality
The NCQA (National Committee for Quality Assurance) is a nonprofit organization
located in America that works to improve the healthcare outcomes of individuals. This
organization achieves this by administering evidence-based standards, programs, and
accreditation. The NCQA defines quality in three ways, namely the right care, the right time,
and the right amount (NCQA, 2017). First, the right care involves treatment procedures that
science has proven to truly work. Moreover, the right care should fit the patient's
circumstances, lifestyle, and values. Second, the right amount describes getting enough care.
