Infrared thermometers are usually used to measure distant temperature. Based on the
thermometer sensitivity and the application conditions, the distance may be measured in miles or
fraction of an inch. Such thermometers are typically used in situations that do not extend to the
other types of thermometers. For example, if an object is very fragile or unsafe to approach, an
