Background of study
The problem of the first study is in the evidence for psychiatric and mental health nursing
interventions. Various interventions are used in dealing with mental health patients. The other
study had the problem of addressing the attitude, experience, and knowledge of the mental health
nurses when handling mental health patients. The purpose of the study is that most nurses have a
negative attitude towards mental health, and there is a need to understand what could be the
cause of attitude (Dickens, et al. 2019). The other study has the purpose of determining the best
intervention for mental illness. The research question for the study is what the best interventions
for mental illness are? The other study has a research question on how attitudes affect health care
in mental illness.
Support of PICOT from article
The two articles will be useful in answering the PICOT question of my research. The
PICOT question in my research states that; for psychiatric patients, will nurse awareness and
advanced training help to reduce the stigma associated with mental illness perception in the
health facilities improving the quality of patient satisfaction within six months. The research on
the interventions is in line with the PICOT in that it tries to determine the best intervention to
deal with psychiatric patients and to help them get quality care leading to their satisfaction
(Bekhet, et al. 2018). The second research helps in understanding how attitudes affect the quality
