It is clear that both the novel by Fleischer & Zames on the “The Disability Rights
Movement: From Charity to Confrontation” and the novel by Lifton entitled “The Nazi Doctors”
make the above statement clear in their works. The novel by Fleischer & Zames highlights how
individuals with disabilities were recognized in the society and also explains how medical
problems were handled and solved in a democratic society through various programs that were
designed to help individuals both physically and emotionally. According to the authors, several
decades ago, people would frown away from children and persons with disabilities and
considered them a burden. However, over the years, these issues pertaining to medical
grievances have been addressed, and there is a significant process ever since.
Also, Fleischer & Zames mention that medical issues can be addressed through various
organizations and laws that can be set by the government. The authors mention some of the rules
and organizations that are on the frontline of addressing grievances about medical issues. They
