With the vast growing developments to technology, it is without a doubt that more people
all over the world are using the internet in their day to day activities for business purposes or
leisure, be it adults or children (Handoko, Sabrina, and Ayuanda, 2019). Human beings tend to
be interested in species and hence click on just about anything that they find interesting without
considering the risks of their actions. With the ever-increasing rates of online security breaches,
strengthening online security should be the number one priority in homes and companies. While
this doesn’t lower the risks to zero, it minimizes the risks significantly.
The most crucial step is to educate the people on the risks they put themselves once they
click on these links. The most common risk without a doubt is the stealing of confidential and
financial information that the hackers can later on use in many ways to commit crimes like fraud
and money laundering. Once the people are educated on the risks they put themselves in, they’ll
be more cautious about what they expose their computers to.
