Leadership and Management
Leadership is the ability to influence and motivate a team of people to act in achieving the
required objective. Leadership in an organizational setting implies the ability to give direction to
workers to attain company goals. Leadership is distinct from management because leaders have
followers, while managers have subordinates who execute tasks on their behalf. Leaders are
inspirational, whereas managers communicate vision and strategy and have the ability to direct the
day-to-day work activities in their organization (Saeed et al., 2014). Managers make organizational
