Leadership and Culture Survey
PMC values effective leadership and inclusivity a lot and the firm requires its four plants
to provide effective leadership and cultivate an inclusive workplace culture. Leadership is mainly
about influencing people (followers) to work towards achieving the desired end. Inclusive
workplace culture is one in which individual and group differences are valued and a firm values
differences in perspectives and backgrounds (Khosla, 2014). An inclusive workplace culture
helps promote diversity, creativity, innovation, and contributions (Khosla, 2014). The Lima Plant
is one of the four plants where PMC’s manufacturing and assembly work takes place. The Lima
plant employs 600 workers. Effective leadership and inclusivity are critical to ensuring that the
600 workers are satisfied in their jobs and motivated. Exceptional leadership and inclusivity are
also essential to the mitigation the high rate of employee turnover problem. To evaluate the
plant’s employees’ views regarding departmental leadership and whether the plant has an
inclusive workplace culture, a survey is necessary. The survey will aid provide feedback that is
necessary to judge whether there are proper leadership and inclusivity in the plant and how to
improve the same.

The five questions below seek to understand Lima Plant’s employees’ perceptions
regarding department leadership. An employee is required to tick in the box that represents their
attitude regarding each statement in the table below.

Questions and Scale Rationale
The selection of the five questions regarding department leadership was informed by the
roles of the leadership. The leadership is tasked with working with their followers to create a
vision and goals for the plant, influence their followers (the employees) to follow their lead,
evaluate employees’ performance, and provide feedback regarding the performance. The first
