The criteria for performance of a product or service is measured by its ability to
generate revenues for the company. The information is drawn from an organisation’s
financial statements. Apple Inc.’s 2019 end year report shows the performance of some of its
products as broken down in the below:

Table 1 shows that products account for a significant percentage of revenues the
firm generates. Products accounted for 85% and 82% of the total revenues for the FY2018
and FY2019 respectively. The production and sell of the iPhone, which is Apple’s principle
product, contributed 62% and 54.7% to the total revenues in the FY2018 and FY2019

information about its processes or product development roadmaps exposes it to rivals who
may engage in competitive responses leading to fewer revenues or failed launches. Therefore,
workers are required to stay mute about their workings inside the firm.
