Project selection for customer-centricity
For growth and development, business and other organization engage in project
development from time to time. One of the most critical stages in project development and
management is the project selection phase. Often, project team emphasize on the project’s saving
potential of a project. Currently, many businesses are striving to develop projects that promote
customer-centricity. The process of project selection is complicated and often requires the
organization’s management or the project steering team to consider an array of factors to ensure
that they deliver an appropriate project. This paper analyzes the elements of project selection
towards customer-centricity. This paper uses a qualitative approach while using various
techniques, including observations, focus groups, and interviews. Some of the factors of project
selection established by this research include business priority, impacts on customers, and

Throughout history, different organizations and businesses device every possible mechanism
and strategy for sustainability. As such, businesses and other organizations engage in projects
from to time. Business managers and directors develop policies and procedures that guide
another employee within the organization. Besides, the organization's leadership develop ideas
and plan for steering the organization. Often, organization managers have a range of unique
projects for guiding the business but may not implement them because of varied reasons. In
project management, project selection is the step that follows immediately after the management
determines the need for a project. Notably, the process of project selection is complicated and
often requires the organization’s management or the project steering team to consider an array of
factors to ensure that they deliver an appropriate project. While project selection is critical to
businesses, how does project selection help an organization to develop a customer-centric
culture? This paper analyzes the factors of project selection towards customer-centricity.
Customer centricity is a strategy in which businesses conduct their operations while
emphasizing on providing positive customer experience to gain competitive advantage and
increased profits or return on investment. In the modern world, globalization and advances in
technology are significantly growing competition among businesses. As such, project
development among companies is inevitable for sustainability, growth, and development.
However, companies need to ensure that the project that they choose is sustainable, profitable,
and enhancing customer-centricity. Businesses employ diverse models and strategies for project
selection. Some of the most conventional project selection models include a strategic alignment
approach, financial analysis, the weighted scoring method, and a problem-solving approach.
While various research designs exist for adoption, this research determines to use a
descriptive qualitative design. As such, this paper will develop conclusions from observations,
interviews, focus groups, and literature review. During the meetings, the researcher will
distribute some questionnaires to the interviews.
For credible conclusions, this research will systematically analyze the findings from each
method and, after that, make an informed conclusion. The researcher will observe the trend from
