Question 1
DorYeshorim screening program is eugenic because it involves genetic monitoring and
matching to achieve desirable characteristics in a genetic lineage. The program qualifies as a
eugenic plan because it involves the arrangement of persons in a way that only desirable traits
are seen in offspring and eliminate persistence of undesirable characteristics. The eugenic
program by DorYeshorim is acceptable for a number of reasons. The program is acceptable
because it has some significant health benefits to the people who subscribe to it. The eugenics
practice, in this case, is not mandatory and therefore, does not violate the rights of the people.
However, the program is unacceptable is the basis for discriminating some people in society.

The DorYeshorim model is a good example of an effective national screening program.
The program is a good masterpiece because its main intention to prevent untreatable diseases like
cystic fibrosis, Gaucher’s disease, and Tay-Sachs. The testing program gives a unique six-digit
