With globalization being experienced across the world, more interactions among
individuals from diverse cultures, background and beliefs have become a norm. Today’s
workforce is characterized by a mixture of different races, ethnic groups, genders and age
groups. Enterprises are no longer working in an insular marketplace; instead, they are part of a
worldwide economy (Shresha & Taylor, 2017). Moreover, competition in today’s business is not
only coming from a national level but almost every continent. Due to this fact, profit and nonprofit organizations need to embrace diversity to enable creativity and embrace change.
Organizations that can maximize and capitalize on workplace diversity can expand their business
into new territories, thus promoting growth and competitive advantage. This essay will explore
various aspects of workplace diversity.
What are the benefits of workplace diversity?
An organization that can successfully embrace diversity has a higher chance of achieving
