For this assignment you will engage in situation analysis for this program. Assume that you are going to be asked to create a marketing strategy for it at some point in the future. Using either Porter’s Five Forces Model( https://hbr.org/video/3590615226001/the-explainer-porters-five-forces) or the BCG Matrix (https://www.bcg.com/about/our-history/growth-share-matrix.aspx) (your choice), analyze the online education industry and the JWU School of Online and Continuing Education’s place in it. If using Porter, evaluate the industry relative to each of the five forces and then answer the question, “is it a good place for JWU to compete?” If using BCG, place JWU into the appropriate quadrant and then answer the question, “is it a good place for JWU to compete?” In either case, please be sure to provide a brief justification for your conclusion.

Johnson and Wales University is a nonprofit institution that provides various educational
programs. Its strategic marketing involves the analysis and evaluation of various internal and
external factors and their effects on the productivity of the organization. Johnson and Wale's
SWOT analysis is as follows.
Strengths
Strengths refer to the internal factors of the business that enhance a positive outlook and
productivity. The core strengths are the University’s long history and admirable reputation on the
educational map (Johnson & Wales University, 2016). The University has a good reputation
among its graduates, and this enhances a competitive advantage over other institutions. This
contributes to the “company” factor of the 5C’s evaluation. The unique educational model that
integrates various fields and areas of study attracts students from different geographical regions.
