A pharmacist has several duties and responsibilities towards a patient. Pharmacists fill
prescriptions depending on the dosage the doctor provides (Battle, 2015). In this case, a
pharmacist is required to confirm the dosage to ensure that it is correct to treat the patient's
condition. Another responsibility of a pharmacist is to monitor drug interactions. A pharmacist is
required to monitor a patient to identify if the patient is under other medications (Limenti, 1999).
This because some drugs if taken together bring negative reactions. If such drugs are taken
together, their effectiveness may be reduced or increased. Also, pharmacists educate their
patients. After reviewing the prescription of a patient, a pharmacist educates the patients about
when and how to the medication should be taken, and side effects likely to be experienced
(Battle, 2015). A pharmacist also suggest other treatments the patient may consider, including
changing diet together with exercises that can improve the condition of the patient. In addition, a
pharmacist deals with insurance and records. He or she is required to complete insurance forms
