Answer question #1 of the Johnstown Foundry, Inc. Ethical dilemma (found at the end of
Chapter 10) in light of Romans 13:1-4.
My position on the issue addressed in the ethical dilemma of Johnstown Foundry, Inc. is
that proper working conditions are crucial to the safety, health, and life of the employees (Heizer,
Render and Munson, 2016). Besides, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration has
clearly outlined the standards that workers and employers should follow due to safety concerns.
However, after two weeks on one of the Johnstown plants, it is indisputable that the working
environment at this organization is inferior. Also, the managers have openly neglected their role
to provide safety tools and equipment considering the hazardous working conditions. The
