The group will research the HR Function and prepare a 6 page paper that provides a research supported explanation of the HR function, an identified problem or challenge that organizations encounter when performing the HR function, and an explanation of how blockchain technology could help solve that problem or address that challenge. This paper should be in APA style and follow the writing requirements for this course. You may use the assigned course readings in this paper, but are required to use an additional 5 sources.

The paper should include the following sections:

1) Introduction: include some background information, the purpose of the paper, and a preview of the paper

2) Description of how the HR Function is traditionally practiced

3) Description of problems or challenges organizations face when performing this function

One of the following Human Resource Functions will be assigned to each group:

1) Staffing: Includes planning, recruitment and selection. The process an organization uses to ensure that it always has the proper number of employees with the appropriate skills in the right jobs, at the right time, to achieve organizational objectives.

Your group will also deliver a presentation of this project. The presentation rubric provided in the classroom will be used to grade the presentation. Each group member must participate equally in the presentation. Power point is required and the presentation should last 15 minutes. Do not use animations in the power point design. Email the power point slides to me Sunday morning before class begins.The presentation is worth 50 points and the paper is worth 150 points.

Human resources are one of the most important roles in any organization. The role of
staffing is to ensure that all positions in an organization are filled and the human resources
managers ensure that all employees are fit for the jobs they are given. It is the job of every
human resources manager to procure, develop, and monitor employees and make sure they
match the strategic goals of the organization. Staffing also involves creating a motivated
workforce that can work with minimum supervisions and also ensures that all jobs are
understood and clear. Hiring and personnel management are the other terms that are regularly
used to refer to staffing. It can be used to get both permanent and temporary employees. The
blockchain technology refers to a system that stores the transactional records of the organization
and these records are known as blocks. The data is stored in several databases that are known as
the chains and the network used is connected using peer to peer nodes that allow people to access
the data. The purpose of this paper is to analyze the impacts of the use of blockchain technology
on the staffing process of organizations. It will analyze the connection between the two, the
challenges that affect the staffing process and how the use of blockchain technology can help
solve those problems.
Traditional Staffing Process
The first step in the staffing process is always estimating the manpower requirement of
the organization and this involves determining how the company operates and how it is likely to
operate soon. The step involves the analysis of the type of employees required and their number.
Workload analysis forms the backbone of this stage and this involves ensuring that no burden is
not attended to and there is no wastage of employees or manpower. The manpower analysis is
also done at this level, to determine the number of employees already employed and the needs



that exist. The second step is recruitment, and it involves looking for the desired people and
evaluating their validity (Greer, Carr, & Hipp, 2016). The human resources managers create
invitations to the relevant people and contact them.
The other step is the selection of the most suitable person among the applicants. The
selection process is based on the qualities of the candidates in comparison with the requirements
of the organization. It starts with a preliminary screening of the candidates, and then an interview
is conducted to choose the best. Reference backgrounds are also carried out and medical
examinations may be conducted if necessary. Placement and orientation are then done, whereby
the selected person is orientated into the organization as per their ability and aptitude and this is
followed by the training and development process aimed at sharpening their skills and make then
suitable for the job. Performance appraisal and promotion follow, and this is based on the
