1. Cells grow normally but produce no extracellular matrix
Various genes are involved in controlling cell division and growth. The cell cycle
involves ways in which a cell replicates in a controlled and definite manner. Auxotroph is an
organism with an added nutritional requirement needed in growth in comparison to the parental
organism where it is derived. There is no production of the extracellular matrix due to mutation
