The stage space for performance creates an appropriate atmosphere and mood that helps
the audience to relate to the play. Hence, stage space should not be taken for granted for it
exposes the audience to different feelings. Further, this allows the stage managers to put their
skills into practice when exploring unique ways to create an exciting environment for plays.
There are different stage spaces, including thrust stage, arena, black box, picture-frame, and
proscenium, among others; hence, identifying the most appropriate stage to use is essential.
