Both because there is data to support that is caused by family transmission. The transmission by family is 60%-80%. Some children who deal with large amounts of siblings, separation, single parent, neglect, poverty, harsh punishment are slightly related to the cause of ADHD. There are no guaranteed prevention methods for ADHD but there are ways to treat it.
