Nathaniel Hawthorne, who is an American novelist, short story and dark romance writer,
was born on 4th July 1804 and breathed his last on 19th May 1864. His literary works seem to
revolve around morality, history, and religion as well. He was born in Salem, Massachusetts, and
one of his ancestors was John Hawthorne, who is said to be the only judge who involved himself
in witch trials in Salem, and they were executed by hanging if found guilty. Nathaniel worked at
the Boston Custom House and later on joined the Brook farm which was a socialistic community
located in West Roxbury, and is estimated to be about nine miles to the southwest part of Boston
(Foster, 2016). He is said to have lived in Brook Farm from April of 1841 to November of the
same year. Brook Farm, which was also known as the Brook Farm Association for Industry and
education, was described as a perfect experiment that lived communally during the 1840s in the
U.S. The Brook Farm was founded by George Ripley back in 1841. ...
