Biography of Jeremy Bentham and his contribution to the study of Ethics
Jeremy Bentham was born in Spitalfields, in London. He was born on 15 February 1748
and passed on 6 June 1832. He was a prominent English philosopher as well as a political
radical. Even at a younger age, he used to read a multi-volume of books on the history of
England. He begun to study Latin at the age of four. He was at Westminster School where he
won a reputation for writing Greek as well as Latin Verse. Since his father was a prosperous
