Personality is termed as a distinctive characteristic that makes up a person and builds who
he or she is and how that individual is including who that individual is. It is a huge part of who
an individual is, but it can also be disfigured causing an individual to undergo some form of
disorder. Personality disorders are usually mental disorders which range from avoidant
personality disorders, obsessive compulsive disorders to borderline personality disorders. In
borderline personality disorder, which is our subject today, an individual appears to get more
rigid compared to other normal people displaying unhealthy patterns of thinking, behavior and
functioning.
Moreover, an individual with borderline personality disorder may go through a lot of
difficulties in relating to people or situations including perception (Ritschel and Kilpela, 2015).
This disorder which is also known as BPD is discernable by its categorized instability in distress,
mood and functioning, interpersonal relationships and in the course of reality testing. Borderline
personality disorder is linked to crucial and critical morbidity due to its common comorbid
illnesses that include major depression, psychoactive substance abuse, dysthymia, and psychotic
disorders that may enable a person to commit suicide and also abusing drugs. However, the
