Presentations are everywhere. We see evidence of speakers addressing audiences to accomplish specific purposes in the media and in real life situations. It is important to understand the factors that make a speaker effective or ineffective, dynamic or a dud. Describe a presentation/speech that you observed in the media or in real life. Give a brief description of the situation and evaluate the effectiveness of the speaker and message based on your observations. Use concepts from the unit reading to support your analysis. Consider the following in your analysis: Was the message clear? Did the audience appear to be engaged? What verbal or nonverbal elements enhanced or detracted from the message? Overall, do you think the message and delivery was impactful? Why or why not? How could it have been improved? Why or why not? Provide examples.

Both enthusiasm and boredom are contagious. This means that if the presenter is
enthusiastic the audience will become enthusiastic too. The presenter must establish a good
eye contact with audience to give him an opportunity to detect any sign of boredom or
disinterest among the audience. If the presenter becomes boring while presenting the audience
too becomes bored and hence making boredom to become contagious (Guffey, 2015)
There are many ways to avoid being a boring speaker. These ways include. As a
speaker one should avoid being flat. Even if the presenter knows the whole topic he should
also involve use of some jokes while presenting to avoid being boring rather than sticking to
the content only. The presenter should also avoid ignoring the audience since this piss them
off making you to become boring. To avoid being boring the presenter should also avoid
getting in a hurry to get off the stage since this results him to overwork the audience resulting
him in being a boring presenter. The presenter should avoid power-point as speech notes. Bad
and boring power-points results the audience to become bored easily. However a presenter
can design brilliant power-points to display his main contents and not his full presentation to
