Description

Guidelines: MLA Format, 12 pt. Times New Roman, double-spaced, 3 page minimum

Due date: Friday April 10th by midnight.

For this assignment, you will choose one poem from each of the different eras we’ve so far discussed in class: Romanticism, Modernism, the Harlem Renaissance, and the Beats. Once you’ve familiarized yourself with the poems of your choice, you will construct a paper in which you explain to your reader what you believe the poem is about and how it relates to the era in which it was written. In other words, this is a paper version of what we’ve been doing in class with our poetry discussions. Structurally, I would suggest dedicating a body paragraph to each poem you choose.
