Covid-19 is the worst pandemic the world has ever faced. It is affecting everyone
regardless of their race, social, or political class. As a result, the pandemic has fostered a
debate on whether healthcare is a choice or a right. In 2008, the former president of the
United States had declared that healthcare should be a right. However noble this statement is,
it is not reflected in the United States healthcare statistics over the recent years. The number
of Uninsured Americans are over 50millions (Maruthappu et al., 2013). The Covid-19
pandemic has, however, made it clear that healthcare should be a right.
Healthcare should be considered a moral or rather a legal right. It is right to say that
the accessibility of healthcare is a moral right and simultaneously argue that it is not legally
