You must use a minimum of 3 cited sources in your paper: the text, a peer-reviewed journal article and one other source of your choosing.

Describe the connection between the character’s personality and the theory used to explain it using relevant information such as direct quotes, descriptions of events provided in the movie, show or book, examples of interpersonal behavior, and so on.

Include the following components in the body of your paper:

Amy’s Character in the Film Gone Girl


Amy in the film Gone girl is the main character who mysteriously disappears from her home on
their fifth wedding anniversary. The evidence found at their home links her husband to her
murder. While the rest of the people in her hometown believe that she was killed, Amy is shown
to have relocated to another place where she lives in a campground. Events unfold, and the
money that she had is stolen by thieves, leaving her with nothing to survive on. Desperate to get
out of the situation, she manipulates her former lover, claiming that she escaped her home for
fear of being killed. Due to her charming nature, her former lover accepts her at his house, but
this encounter ends tragically as the man is brutally killed by Amy. She then returns to her home
in the hope of convincing her husband that she was kidnapped. Her husband accepts her back
because she is pregnant but eventually her big secret is revealed. Using various personality
theories, this paper examines Amy’s character.
According to Sullivan, the interpersonal theory shows that a person’s character is dictated by the
relationship one develops with other people (Schultz & Schultz, 2016). In this case, Amy’s
character is highly dictated by the way she interacts and associates with people. Amy is seen to
be manipulating and cunning, a character she developed from her past relationships. We learn
