Due to the latest surveys on COVID-19, the disease has a higher incidence and prevalence in
older adults. The main challenge in the face of the pandemic is to accept social distancing as a
security requirement for maintaining health. Social distancing puts at risk the person who may
suffer from depression, frustration, anxiety, violent attitudes, and even suicidal ideas. For this
reason, I consider that the person who needs the most assistance would be the man in his 70s, so
he would not remove his bed.
As we age, the immune system becomes less effective in the following ways. The immune
system loses the ability to distinguish its own from its foreign (that is, to detect foreign antigens).
Also, there are fewer white blood cells (leukocytes) capable of responding to new antigens.
Therefore, when the body of the elderly finds a new antigen, it has less ability to remember it and
to defend itself from its attack.
Although the amount of antibody that is produced in response to an antigen remains the same,
the antibodies lose the ability to attack the antigen. This change partly explains why pneumonia
and the flu are more common in older age and end in death more frequently. These changes also
partly explain why vaccines are less effective in later life. These changes in immune activity
make older people more sensitive to getting some types of cancer and infections. So, he would
leave the 70-year-old man in bed.

Even though I understand her posture and that she is scared. I would suggest her to continue
going, because not only people will be needing her help but also doctors and companions that
require her presence to certain procedures. For this reason, a doctor must dedicate to provide
competent medical service, with full professional and moral independence, with compassion and
respect for human dignity.
A doctor must remember the obligation to respect human life and thinking about not wanting to
do it would be like avoiding it, since these people depend heavily on it to get well. As previously
mentioned, it is also in your hands to offer a competent and competitive service. By refusing to
provide her services, she would be disobeying her own principles.
In addition to that, if her concern is her children, she should think about looking for how to clean
and protect herself and her loved ones from contagion. Of the measures against the coronavirus,
the following would decrease the contagion: The use of soap, which is the greatest enemy of the
Coronavirus, is one of the best hygiene habits to prevent it.
On the other hand, the use of masks is recommended in any situation. Since this COVID-19 is a
type of virus that stays floating in the air, it can enter our body through the mouth. It is even
more essential the use of masks when traveling on public transport. As this is a closed
environment with little ventilation, where airborne transmission of this and other types of viruses
are easier to pass to other people, it is necessary the use of masks.
Similarly, the use of latex gloves is always highly recommended, especially since they help
reduce the number of times we touch our faces and, therefore, the probability of contagion. On
the other hand, since the Coronavirus is us...
