But it really needs to be an expansion.

3.*You need to cite your reference in the text (e.g. Smith, 2020) and included a bibliography at the end of your paper which do not count towards the paper length.

4.*Any quotes must be attributed to the source, including page number.

5.In the bibliography each citation should include the following information:

a.Author.

b.Title of book/article.

c.Title of newspaper/journal.

d.Publication year.

e.Publication month and date.

f.Publisher.

g.City of publication.

h.Date of access (if publication is downloaded from the web).

*What are in-text citations?

In-text citations are included in the main part of a project when using a quote or paraphrasing a piece of information from another source. We include these types of citations in the body of a project for readers to quickly gain an idea as to where we found the information.

These in-text citations are found directly next to the quote or paraphrased information. They contain a small tidbit of the information found in the regular MLA citation. The regular, or complete, citation is located at the end of a project, on the works cited page.

Here’s what a typical in text paraphrase looks like:

According to Tan (1989), the mother uses a vast amount of Chinese wisdom to explain the world and people’s temperaments.

Here’s what a typical in text quote looks like:

In fact, she states, “each person is made of five elements….Too much fire and you have a bad temper...too little wood and you bent too quickly...too much water and you flowed in too many directions” (Tan, 1989, p. 31).

Handling the Growing Number of Immigrants
Introduction
In contemporary society, many people have opted to seek refuge in other countries both
legally and illegally owing to the difficult situations they face in their mother countries. This has
led to a sharp increase in the number of immigrants in most countries across the globe.
According to a report by the Department of Economic and Social Affairs in the United Nations,
the number of global international migrations has reached 272million, and the curve is steadily
rising (1). Currently the number of migrants was estimated to 3.5% of the total global population,
which is a major increase as compared to the percentage in 2000 which was at 2.8%. With this
increase in numbers, it is becoming very hard to handle the rising numbers of immigrants in
many countries, and this has caused tremendous negative effects in many economies.
Dealing with skilled immigrants
Using the United states and South Africa as use cases, the number of skilled workers
moving in these countries has increased over the years. This has caused lots of uproar from many
residents who claim that the foreigners took away their jobs and dropped wages down (Kalitanyi
et al., 22). On the other hand, the governments argue that these skilled immigrants create jobs for
themselves and the local residents. This has left the countries in a dilemma on whether to
increase the number of skilled immigrants or not. It is not clear on what best settles this debate
since it is open to opinion, but it is evident that skilled immigrants create jobs, and the host

countries need to create laws or regulations to ensure the local citizens stand to gain from these
opportunities too.
