Disneyland is one of the favorite relaxation venues for most people. The parks attract
huge crowds, an aspect that has propelled them to the forefront as the most visited parks across
the world. The original park located in California is the brainchild of Walt Disney, and
members of the public were first allowed to enjoy what gets offered in 1995. The popularity of
the park in California forced the owners to construct other theme parks across the world in
areas such as Hong Kong and China.
Disney's Advantages Relative to Other Theme Parks
There are a couple of themed parks going against Disney. However, Disney has
managed to stay ahead of its competitors for a variety of reasons. The fact that its parks are
larger than others. The larger the enclosure, the more space there is to put up various attractions.
It, therefore, means that the traffic into their park will be higher than in other themed parks.
With increased levels of traffic comes increased revenue. Another factor is the vast array of
activities people going to Disney get to experience compared to other themed parks. Disney
owns an extensive collection of characters prevalent in the films they produce. Such figures
have substantial fan bases.
Disney holds the intellectual rights over those characters, which means that they are
the only ones with authority to commercially exploit the characters. Such uniqueness forces
fans of such characters to the only flock to Disney if they wish to blossom in the characters
they love. The financial might of Disney is another advantage it has over other themed parks.
