  • Describe the target behavior.
  • Outline the dimensions of measurement/baseline measurement.

    • 2 antecedent changes (minimum).
    • 4 consequence modifications (1 of each type).
  • Describe any potential barriers to treatment, and how you would overcome these barriers.

I work for the Sheriff’s office in my city and my shifts are rotating. One month I work days and one month I work nights and so on. When I am on nights, on my day off I have to keep the same schedule as if I were going to work. My eating schedules are very messed up when I am on nights and I find myself eating more when I am on nights and I am off. As a result, I am starting to pick up weight because of my eating habits. This is also causing my cycle to be irregular. The doctor told me that I will have to do something to adjust my eating habits to stop the weight gain. It was suggested to begin an exercise regimen on nights and to start documenting what I eat. when the times the food is consumed and how often. Since the eating behavior is not welcoming, strategies will be developed on the behavior to ensure that eating habits are controlled. It will be documented as to what foods are being ate and a eating schedule will implemented. The data will provide insight on where, when, why and how often the behavior takes place.

Rhonda will adopt healthy eating habits
This behavior intervention plan is intended to modify the poor feeding habits Rhonda has
developed due to change in the working time. It is necessary for Rhonda to be assisted so that
she can resume her healthy lifestyles. The negative consequences of her current eating habits are
already noticeable through unhealthy weight gain that has resulted in irregular periods.
Therefore, intervention to change the eating patterns of Rhonda will not only solve the current
problems but also act as a mitigation against other health risks associated with the poor
consumption practices.
Dimensions and baseline of measurement
In this study, the behavior intervention plan made use of both the repeatability dimension
and the temporal locus dimension. The repeatability dimension involved analyzing types of
foods Rhonda consume on daily basis. Temporal locus dimension of measurement, on the other
hand, paid attention to the time Rhonda consumed her meals. Besides, monitoring and
observation were used to obtain the baseline measurement for the behavior intervention plan.
The dimensions and baseline of measurements were taken over a three-day period marked as day
one, day two and day three.
On the first day, Rhonda consumed three types of meals namely, Nut Butters, packaged
chips, and milk. These foods were taken as night shift at 1900hrs, 2300hrs, and 0300hrs. On the
second, Rhonda ate four kinds of meals which included pizza, Nut Butters, Packaged Cookies
and milk. Like the first day, these foods were eaten during the night shift at 1900hrs, 2100hrs,
2200hrs and 0300hrs. Finally, on the third day, Rhonda also ate four different meals namely

yogurt, pancakes, pizza, and doughnuts. The food was consumed at 1900hrs, 2000hrs, 0100hrs
and 0300hrs.
The function of the baseline behavior
On the first, second and third day, Rhonda took meals at 1900hrs and 0300hrs as usual
routine while she is on the night shift. However, on this three-day period, she ate also betwee...
