Reasons for accepting the call of adventure.
Adventure is known to be the unusual and exiting things people do in their day to day activities.
Different people encounter different kinds of experiences in their lives that greatly determine the
choices they make on accepting, or not accepting the call of adventure. Beside personal
experiences, some people follow their heart when choosing their own path in life; others follow
their elders’ advice, while others tend to do exactly as their role models do. Besides all the
experiences and decisions we make as human beings, we eventually find that, we are the same
people who reap either the benefits or repercussions that come later in life due to such decisions.
According to Amy Tan’s short story Two Kinds, we see how the little girl’s desires are not
considered at all by her mother just because the mother wants her to become a prodigy. In this
short story, we see the young Chinese- American girl decide not to accept the call to adventure
due to the pressure she gets from her mother, Suyuan. No matter how hard Suyuan worked (by
