A rectangle is inscribed in a circle of radius 5 cm. The base of the rectangle is 8 cm. What is the area of the rectangle?

The diagonal of the rectangle = the diameter of the circle =10 cm

Base of the rectangle = 8 cm

Height of the rectangle = sqrt(10^2-8^2)=sqrt(100-64)=sqrt(36)=6

Area of the rectangle = 8*6 = 48 sq. cm
