Abstract Global warming is an international issue. Global warming is caused by increased concentrations of gases such as CO2 and methane in the atmosphere. Industrial facilities, such as electrical power plants that use fossil fuels, have contributed to the production of these gases. However, countries such as Germany, are increasing their production of solar and wind energy as well as using more hybrid and electric cars. In addition, the United States has started adding more charging station for hybrid cars. Nevertheless, the sea level continues to rise from 1 mm to 3 mm each year due to global warming. Abstract
Global warming is an international issue. Global warming is caused by increased
concentrations of gases such as CO2 and methane in the atmosphere. Industrial facilities, such as
electrical power plants that use fossil fuels, have contributed to the production of these gases.
However, countries such as Germany, are increasing their production of solar and wind energy as
well as using more hybrid and electric cars (Weiss et al., 2019). In addition, the United States has
started adding more charging stations for hybrid cars. Nevertheless, the sea level continues to
rise from 1 mm to 3mm each year (Douglas, 1991). This is due to global warming.
Introduction
Global warming gets defined as the gradual increase in the heat of the atmosphere of the
earth that is generally associated with the greenhouse effect that gets brought about by the
increase in the levels of CFCs, CO2, and other toxic pollutants in the atmosphere. The presence
of methane in the atmosphere in high concentrations has a significant impact because it
contributes to global warming. This paper will provide details of the causes of global warming,
the role that gets played by methane in global warming, how the rise in atmospheric carbon
dioxide (CO2) and global warming can stimulate the bloom of harmful cyanobacteria blooms
also referred to as algae that are harmful. Also, the paper provides insight into the perspectives of
environmental health with regard to the global change in climate and diseases
that is infectious.
