1. Summary of one poem
The poem I choose to summarize is "The Second Coming" by William Butler Yeats. I
believe the poem talks about how evil is becoming a common issue on earth. It is causing chaos
where no one remains innocent. More people are engaging in doing evil. That is why good
people are few and they remain restricted. There is an increase in the passion of doing evil than
doing good. That is why the best people of doing evil no longer have a conscience that limits
their deeds (Yeats, line 7). The more the evil that is happening, the more the voice in the poem
believes the end is coming. Also, the more the evil that people are doing, the more innocence in
people fades away leaving them different than before. The person who is seen coming from the
desert has power over evil. The evil is represented by the birds that follow the person. The end is
coming since the voice sees a creature that has a human's head but a lion's body. The voice...
