Introduction
Aging is a complex process that is unique and individualized for every person. Many people
want to live for many years, yet do not want to experience the challenges associated with aging.
Aging continues to face negative stereotypes across various continents, including Asia, Africa,
and western cultures. Late adulthood citizens face challenges related to social and economic
limitations, and sometimes they have to rely on their families and government for support,
socially, financially, and health-wise (Dionigi, 2015). Aged adults also face critical challenges
related to deteriorating health status since their immunity is low, and thus they are prone to
physical and mental health conditions. This paper analyzes the stereotypes associated with late
adulthood, how to promote health and well being during late adulthood, the importance of
