today will not be in vain. Indeed, am preparing you to assume management roles in our industry.
Therefore, this is a preparation stage as you make the step to achieving your ultimate career
dreams, the dream of leadership.
At this point, allow me to brief you on my profile during my stay in this industry. When I
was employed as the Managing Director of this firm, I knew I needed exceptional input to
address the challenges that were facing the company. Different environmental factors and trends
were affecting many firms. What I did in my first few months of employment was identifying the
major factors there were negatively contributing to the business. I had to update my knowledge
and communicate with employees and other stakeholders to get their views on where the firm
was not on the course. I had to consult experts on technological sector so that appropriate
advancements could be incorporated in the firm to enable the products to move with the
changing trends in technology (Dewan & Myatt, 2008).
Other factors that I have consistently bear in mind during my career is being metric
oriented, possessing acumen in business, making strategic and informed decisions and enhancing
my knowledge daily in human resources and application in the firm. Young minds, these are all
