Institutionalized racism and sexism are remarkably similar but are viewed differently.
Institutional racism is racism of a group by an institution. Institutional sexism is a bias towards
male or female sex and is more often against females rather than males. You also have
employers who will have positions that desired skillsets and abilities that only men seem to
possess. Institutional racism is more explicit, and institutional sexism is more implicit.
Institutionalized sexism explains how institutional policies become manipulated in favour of
ones’ sex and to restrict the other, (McQuaid, 2007). For instance, when men and women
become compared to the same occupation, women tend to make a lower wage bill. Also, there
may be a higher or lower requirement when it comes to admissions, the award of financial aid,
and age barriers. By means of this is how it has been since the beginning of time, for example,
