Question Description

The international space station orbits the Earth at an altitude of about 250 km. What is the acceleration due to gravity at that height above the ground? The mass of the Earth is 5.98 x 1024 kg and the radius of the Earth is 6371 km.

Note if you invoke the physics that g varies with the inverse of the square of the distance, you don't need Earth mass or G the universal gravity constant.
