Question Description

A bird sanctuary needs  @least 500lbs of corn per month. The storage shed contains 87lbs of corn on the first day of the month.If corn is bought in 40lb bags,write the inequality that can be used to calculate how many bags of corn, x, are needed

Final Answer

Amount of Corns =500 lb

Amount available at shed =87 lb

Number of bags =x

Amount Of corn =40x

40x+87 >= 500

This is the inequality

40x>= 500-87=413

x>=413/40

x>=41.3/4

x>=10.325
