x - y = 6

2x - y = 0

these are simultaneous linear equation solution are as

multiply equation 1 by 2 we will get

2x - 2y = 12

now subtract equation 1 and 2 we will get

2x - 2y - 2x + y = 12 - 0

- y = 12

and  y = -12

put the value of y in equation 1 we will get the value of x

x - (-12)= 6

x + 12 = 6

x = -6

now you can verify both equation by putting the value of x and y in both equations
