Description

PLEASE DONT BID IF YOU CANT COMPLETE THE PAPER WITH THE INFORMATION PROVIDED. ITS THE ENTIRE ASSIGNMENT AND OTHER STUDENTS HAVE ALREADY COMPLETED IT BASED ON THIS INFORMATION BUT THIS IS THE SECOND TIME POSTING DUE TO TUTORS SAYING ITS IMPOSSIBLE TO COMPLETE.

Attached is a sample item analysis that shows the summary table of statistics for all items (questions) for a pilot assessment of a memory test. The memory test presents a short video depicting a law enforcement scenario and requires candidates to recall relevant details. The test is comprised of 10 multiple choice questions with four options (A-D). For the sample of 10 items, the correct answer is “A”. Review the item difficulty (P), discrimination [R(IT)], and the distractors (options B-D).

  1. What is the difficulty level for each item (i.e., easy, medium, hard)? What is the overall difficulty level of the test?
  2. Which item(s) could you remove altogether from the exam? Why?
  3. Which distractor(s) would you revise? Why?
  4. Which items are working well? Why?
  5. What next steps in test development would you recommend?

ITEM ANALYSIS INTERPRETATION
Item Analysis Interpretation
According to Kraus, Doyscher and Schüt, (2015), item analysis is the statistical
procedure of investigating the test queries and the ripostes given to establish the value of the
queries and the assessment entirely. The investigation aids in finding out the degree to which a
certain assessment item has contributed to the general dependability or inner constancy of the
whole assessment. Generally, item analysis is made of some basic elements such as difficulty
level, coefficient of reliability, accurate group answers, point biserial, answering rates, nondistractors, and measures of central tendency such as mean, mode, median, and standard
deviation. In this paper, I will carry out an item analysis interpretation on a summary of data for
all items in an experimental examination of a memory test.
Difficulty Level
The number of participants answering the questions appropriately designates the

difficulty level of such an item. The more participants got the item correct, the less hard the item
could have been. At optimum, an item may inspire a wide range dispersal of scores if its
accompanying difficulty index is roughly 0.5 or 50 percent of those who got it correct. The
following table shows the criteria used in classifying the difficulty levels.
