What Happens to Organizational Climate When Resistance Occurs
Resistance to change in organizations is not an unusual phenomenon nor is it a bad
thing. However this resistance can bring negative impacts to an organizations in many ways.
The unwillingness to adapt to the change means that the company is headed for the worst.
Resistance to change can bring obsolescence to a business product. Because of technology
advancement and growing consumer preference, an organization that does not keep up with the
evolving trends risks producing unwanted or non-needed products. Secondly, failing to change
makes a company lose its influence within the industry. This creates damage to the company
among its competitors and contributes to a negative brand image to their clients and consumers.
